For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with amplifiers and effects pedals.

John-Anthony founded Voltic Electronic Devices in Wilmington, DE, in 2022. He is a graduate of The University of the Arts MBET program, with a focus on Audio Electronics. In addition to his academic studies, he has worked extensively with Philadelphia electronics repair legend, Jim Walton. A lover of vintage amplifiers, effects pedals and guitars, John-Anthony can be found making weird noises on guitar and bass throughout the greater Wilmington area.

Voltic Electronic Devices’ mission is to provide high quality effects pedals, and musical instrument and amplifier repair and modification services. Our philosophy is simple: we always aspire to honor the original maker’s intent in any given circuit, and only alter component values when absolutely necessary. We find that these principles help to retain equipment’s resale value and often times allows our clients to rediscover that “thing” that they loved about their gear in the first place.

As makers, we take pride in meticulously soldering and placing each component, and carefully running wires in an enclosure. We have a special love for taking classic designs, modifying them and adapting them to stripboard. All of our pedals are hand-wired and tested by John-Anthony, with a parts-caster and old Fender amp.

Whether as a repairer or maker, we at Voltic Electronic Devices hope to inspire you to make great music.
